Ok the first software i recommend is kaspersky internet security. It is by far the best all in one AV/firewall security suite you can purchase.
The next program i recommend using is malwarebytes, you use this to remove malware from your system.
I think with the kaspersky security suite and malwarebytes it should be enough to clear out any infections. Allthough you only specified trojan horse viruses, there is however many other types of infections such as spyware etc. For these you will need to use some other programs like lavasoft adaware, spybot search and destroy and a few others...
